A lone raider robbed a Monasterevin bookmakers last week brandishing a knife and escaped with E500.

The man entered N Kaye Bookmakers at approximately 3.05pm in the afternoon on Thursday July 14. He was wearing a white hoodie with grey writing, sun glasses, navy bottoms with a white stripe down the side and white runners. It’s believed he was around 5ft 7 inches in height, had a stubbly face and may have spoken with a Dublin accent.

He entered the shop with a blade and demanded money from the owner. He fled the scene with the cash. He is believed to have made his getaway in a BMW 3 Series car. There were three to four men in the betting shop at the time of the robbery as well as the owner. No one was hurt.
