Yes, it’s official, the Leinster Leader has now gone global. Sennen O’Boyle is pictured in front of the Chenega glacier in Icy Bay, Prince William Sound, Alaska, getting his weekly fix of the best in Kildare news and sport.

Positioned just half a mile from his base, this was the closest he could get to the glacier as chunks of ice were falling down behind him every few minutes. Sennen went on the sea kayaking holiday with a group of friends two weeks ago.

They got to see Orca and humpback whales and coped brilliantly with 24/7 daylight. Sennen is certainly no land lubber and is an experienced kayaker, covering just under 400kms during the trip.
