It was announced yesterday that the proposed Kerry Group research facility at Millennium Park, Naas has been granted planning permision.
It is estimated that the construction of this global technology and innovation centre will require up to 400 workers and, once completed, will create 800 jobs.
The news was welcomed by local TD Anthony Lawlor.
“I particularly want to congratulate Kildare County Council on the speedy manner in which this planning application was processed.
“The creation of so many construction and full time jobs is a huge boost for the local community and it is imperative that all hands are on deck to ensure that these can come on stream as soon as possible,” he noted.
