The dangerous crossroads approaching Kilteel village, near Naas must be made safer.
That’s according to Cllr. Fintan Brett, who wants measures put in place to reduce the risk of traffic accidents at the location.
Cllr. Brett told a Kildare county council area meeting that more advance warning signs are needed at the crossroads.
He said that two accidents had taken place there recently and one of them was a serious incident.
He added that rumble strips would help to solve the problem.
Council staff are assessing the junction with respect to safety.
There is no money available to put down rumble strips, however the council is prepared to upgrade line markings and advance signage if necessary and if money can be provided to pay for the work.
