Cigarettes stolen in house raid

Newbridge gardai are seeking any witnesses to a robbery which took place on Saturday, July 14 at Ballysax in the Curragh between 6.20am and 6.20pm

According to gardai a number of cartens of cigarettes were stolen in the raid. Gardai are appealing for anyone around the Ballysax area who may have seen something to come foward. Meanwhile an attempted robbery took place on a house at Kinneagh in the Curragh on the same date at 3.30am. The rear door of the house was forced open which set off the alarm and nothing seems to have been taken.

“Transport was used by the offenders,” said Sgt Seamus Rothwell.

“If anyone saw anything please contact the station.”
