If you have old copper or corrugated iron, metal garden furniture or kettles that you’ve been wanting to throw out, Newbridge Rugby Club will gladly take them off your hands this weekend.
The club is running a scrap metal challenge to raise much needed cash.
Items will be accepted on Saturday, February 15 and Saturday, February 22 from 10am to 6pm at a collection site beside Finlay’s Garage in Newbridge.
Items can also be brought to Allied Recycling in Naas Industrial Estate (next door to ESB), and please mention the rugby club when bringing your scrap to this location.
The club will accept agitators, aluminium, barbecues, beer cans, bicycles, boilers, brass, buggies, cars, cement mixers, metal clothes horses, coal buckets, copper, corrugated iron, diggers and dozers, dishwashers, electrick knives, electric motors, electric cables, engine parts, fireplaces (metal), fencing wire, food mixers, garden furniture, gas heaters, gates, goal posts, gas cookers, go karts, hay balers, hay turners, ironing boards, kettles, lawnmowers, lead, milk cans and buckets, motorbikes, oil tanks (metal), pipes (metal), ploughs, prams, radiators, ring feeders, saucepans, silage balers, sink tops, slurry tanks, solid fuel cookers, steel, steel gutters, toppers, toys (metal), tractors, trailers, trampolines, transport boxes, water pumps, window frames and wheelbarrows.
However, it cannot accept TVs, PCs and laptops, fridges, microwaves, tyres, paint pots and gas bottles.
