An application for a dance licence at the Mantra night club in Maynooth has been adjourned to 3 December following Garda concerns over theft issues at the venue.
The licenced club applied for an update of a licence at the 17 September sitting of the Kilcock District Court.
But Garda Inspector Paul Dolan said that the Gardai may object to ean xtensions.
He said there were a number of serious incidents including thefts of mobile phones and other items and the Gardai were unhappy with the way management at the Mantra had dealt with these matters.
David Powderly, solicitor, representing Sheff Ltd, trading as the Mantra, told Judge Desmond Zaidan he would seek an adjournment of the application until 3 December to deal with the concerns of the Gardai.
