MEMBERS of Naas Club 4 U took part in a CPR and Safety workshop at the KYS centre, Naas.
The purpose of the training was to provide the club members with a basic knowledge about how to react in an emergency. Members learned the correct procedures to carry out vital CPR on an adult, a child and a baby in an interactive exercise. There was a demonstration on how to put somebody in the recovery position.
Club 4 U have been very busy and very active in the community. The crew members held their annual senior citizens party on Sunday March 3 in McAuley Place. The party was a way for the club members to play a part in their community
and provide a fun filled day for the senior citizens of Naas. Club member Jenny Flynn said “doing the senior citizens party is cool. It takes a lot of effort and hard work but it’s fun.” Adult leader, Podge Maher explained “this event shows young people’s voluntary participation within their community and contribution to society.” Naas Club 4 U is a youth club that is aimed at 1st-6th year students. It is run by the young people, for the young people with the aid of adult leaders.
