Two arrests in Athy murder case

Two more men have been arrested in relation to the murder.

James Seery (21) with an address listed as 8, Canal Side, Athy and Quentin Monaghan, Tullamoy, Stradbally (20) appeared before Athy District Court this morning.

Both men, who were dressed in track suits and trainers, were arrested this morning.

Detective Sergeant Sean Boland gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution in each case.

Mr Lindsay was shot outside his home shortly before 8.45 pm on Saturday 6th April on April 6 last. He was originally from Dublin.

The 20 year old man was shot in the head as he walked in the Cloneyboro Estate in the town.

The two young men were remanded in Clover Hill Prison and will appear before Kilcock District Court next Tuesday, October 1.

Another man had been arrested previously in relation to this matter and is in custody.
