Naas fashion and food week launched

A full schedule of events is expected to take place during this period. The objective of the detailed programme is to attract visitors and promote opportunities for all of the local business�"s and generate funding for local needs.

THE Naas Fashion and Gourmet Week was officially launched in the Court Hotel, Naas on Friday last.

It will take place from Friday 3 to Sunday 12th May and will feature a wide schedule of events. It will get underway with a ‘Stepford Wives’ themed fashion show on Friday May 3 in aid of St. Mary’s College, Naas.

The week will also feature local restaurants with special festival menus. A ‘pop up’ restaurant event will take place as well as a ‘restaurant trail’.

The annual Naas Lions Club Concert featuring Celine Byrne will be in the Killashee House Hotel on Sunday May 5.

The search for the “Face of Naas” kicks off the weekend of April 6. There will be rounds in participating business venues prior to the final in the Killashee House Hotel May 10 and the main beneficiary will be Debra Ireland.

Saturday May 11 will see a first for Ireland - Nuit Blanche Gala Ball, a stylish ball organised by the Naas Lions Club in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation.

Throughout the week there will be customer evenings in boutiques, restaurants and bars and many deals to be found. Other events include the Michael Roe Mondello Challenge, Naas Lions golf classic, a sports breakfast and children’s discos.
