Tir na nOg Childrcare won the overall award for the best entry in the Athy St Patrick’s Day parade.

The winners were presented with their awards at a cermony in the Athy Heritage Centre on Friday evening, March 22.

The award ceremony was hosted by the Athy Town Promoters Group.

Cathaoirleach of Athy Town Council and chairman of the Athy Town Promoters Group, Cllr Mark Wall congratulated and thanked all those who took part in the parade.

The St Patrick’s Day Parade was sponosored by Coca Cola Athy Concentrates, which is celebrating 40 years in Athy this year.

The winners were as follows:

Best overall - Tir na nOg Childcare.

Best Sporting Group - Castlemotchell GFC

Best Community Entrant - Kildare County Show

Best Walking Group - Athy Men’s Shed

Best Youth Group - Athy Scouts

Best Business Entrant - Clancy’s Public House

Best New Entrant - Tiny Tots Preschool

Best Entertainment Group - The Farrell Caffrey School of Irish Dancing.
