Lent isn’t over yet, but kids from Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich in Maynooth are already thinking ahead to next year’s fundraising campaign for locally-based charity Trocaire.

The aid organisation is asking primary school kids to design next year’s Trocaire box for its 40th anniversary in 2013.

Youngsters from Gaelscoil Ui Fhiaich, Maynooth, were joined by Lydia McCarthy from Trocaire and David Ogwang, from FAPAD, a Ugandan organisation funded by the charity, to launch the competition this week.

The winning Trocaire box design will go into one million homes, schools and churches in 2013.
