O’Brien confirms three runners in Pretty Polly

Epsom Oaks winner Was is one of seven fillies who will line up in the Barclays Bank Ireland Pretty Polly Stakes this Sunday at the Curragh Racecourse following today’s final declaration of runners. The Aidan O’Brien trained performer will be joined by Maybe and Up, both also trained by O’Brien. Bible Belt and Sapphire will also ensure that there is a very strong home trained team for the Group 1 contest, while the John Gosden trained Izzi Top and I’m A Dreamer trained by David Simcock represent British based stables.

Eight fillies line up for the Group 3 Grangecon Stud Stakes, also on Sunday including Katchy Lady, Sendmylovetorose and Scent of Roses.

Equine superstar Camelot is one of seven horses who will face the starter in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh this Saturday following yesterday’s declaration of runners. Trainer Aidan O’Brien and his 19 year old son Joseph will attempt to become the first father and son combination to win the Group 1 Classic. Other runners in Ireland’s most important international race are Imperial Monarch, Astrology Speaking of Which, Light Heavy, Born to Sea and Akeed Mofeed

Aidan O’Brien will be represented by Cristoforo Colombo and Pedro The Great in the Dubai Duty Free Railway Stakes also on Saturday with the Group 2 contest attracting a total of seven runners, while five of the nine entries in the Group 3 Woodies DIY Sapphire Stakes come from Britain and include Tiddliwinks and Definightly
