Monitoring of Little Connell in Newbridge to be enforced

Little Connell, Newbridge

Kildare County Council has taken action, in view of the constant difficulty residents of Little Connell in Newbridge are experiencing in entering and leaving their homes when parents are dropping/picking up their children from school,

A motion was raised by Cllr Sean Power at the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting on November 15 last.

Cllr Power said the issue is ongoing, and that while he acknowledges the report, he would like to know what guarantee can we give the residents that the place will be monitored.

In a report issued at the meeting, Kildare Councty Council said: “Under the existing Pay Parking Bye-Laws, the time period for parking enforcement is 9.30am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday and parking is not regulated outside of these times. The council will ensure that the area is monitored in the

afternoon periods.”
