Gardai in Kildare are appealing for information on a raid of a petrol station in Athy by two men brandishing a hammer and a crow bar on Sunday, December 11 at 8.10pm. The two men demanded a sum of money from the staff at Top Oil on the Kilkenny Road and made off on foot. No body was injured in the raid. The men were described as being 5 ft 6 and 5ft 7, of thin and stocky build and wearing balaclavas. Gardai are canvassing the area and checking CCTV.
