Recent deaths in Kildare

James (Jim) Carroll - Moyglare, Maynooth/Leixlip

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Carroll of Moyglare, Maynooth and late of Green Lane, Leixlip. He died on October 24 suddenly. Beloved father of the late Damian, deeply regretted by his loving wife Noreen, daughters Joyce and Sarah, sons-in-law Mark and Edward, grandchildren, brothers Joe, Kevin and Matthew, sister Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at Reilly's Funeral Home, Leinster Street, Maynooth on Thursday from 5pm, with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Froiday at 10.30am to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Maynooth for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Kilcloon Cemetery.

Sharon Buckley - Shaw, Leixlip, Kildare

The death occurred on October 23 of Sharon Buckley Shaw, Leixlip, (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, Sharon, beloved wife of Jim and dear mother of Christopher and Jordon. Sharon will be sadly missed by her loving family, relatives, friends and her wee dog Toby. Removal on Wednesday morning, October 26, to the Church of Our Lady’s Nativity, Leixlip, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o’c followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium.

Jim would like to offer a special thanks to Peter and Sharon for being there during Sharon’s illness.

 

Vincent Fox - Broadford, Kildare / Donadea, Kildare

Fox, Vincent, Broadford and late of Timahoe, Donadea, died on October 21. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Gerardine, sons David, Ciarán and Colin, David's partner Rhona, grandchildren Bella and Ailbhe, dad Jimmy, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, parents in law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence in Broadford from 4pm on Tuesday, with rosary at 9pm. Removal on Wednesday at 12.30pm to arrive at St. Mary's Church, Broadford for 1pm Funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Benignus Cemetery, Staplestown. House private on Wednesday morning please.

 

Maureen Thérèse Kearney (née Flanagan) - Rathmore, Carbury, Kildare

Surrounded by her loving family at Naas Hospital. Mother of the late Thérèse, predeceased by her brothers Oliver and John and parents Patrick and Mary. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Oliver, sadly missed by her daughters Margaret and Elizabeth, son Ollie, grandchildren Aimee, Ciara and Eoin, great grandchildren Heidi and Dogan, son-in-law Mick, daughter-in-law Charlotte, brothers Bishop Thomas J. Flanagan (San Antonio, Texas), Padraig and Jerome, sisters Susan and Martha, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Johnny, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Larkin’s Funeral Home, Edenderry on Monday and on Tuesday from 7.30pm with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Wednesday at 12.45 arriving to The Church of the Holy Trinity, Derrinturn for 1.30pm Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Friends of Naas Hospital.

 

 

Catherine (Kitty) Little - Walkinstown/Straffan

The death occurred on October 23 of Catherine (Kitty) Little of Walkinstown and Straffan (peacefully) at St. James Hospital. Beloved wife of Chris and loving mother of Anne, Rosemarie, Catriona, Eamonn and Ciarán. Predeceased by her sisters Rita and Betty and her brother Jim; sadly missed by her loving husband and family, her sisters Rosemarie, Carmel, Patricia and Vera, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, partners, grandchildren, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at The Massey Bros Funeral Home, The Haven, 177 Crumlin Road on Tuesday from 3pm until 6pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10pm in Church of the Assumption, Walkinstown followed by burial to Newlands Cross Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Ann McGrath, Marlima, Convent Road, Ballinrobe, Mayo died on October 23, peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents, John and Bridie and brother-in-law John Cummins, beloved sister of Martina Cummins, Fionnuala Conoboy (Tourmakeady), Sean, Mary Byrne (Celbridge), sadly missed by her brothers-in-law Michael Conoboy and Peter Byrne, nieces Ríona, Lydia, Roisín, Isabelle, Dearbhla, nephews Michéal, J.V, Eoin, Finn, aunts, uncles, relatives, neighbours and large circle of friends.

Reposing at Cummins Funeral Home on Tuesday evening at 5.30pm with removal at 8pm to St Mary’s Church Ballinrobe. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 1pm with burial immediately afterwards in New Cemetery Ballinrobe.

 

 

Jim O’Connor - Creggan, Ballybofey, Donegal / Newbridge, Kildare

At St. James' Hospital, Dublin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Nancy, daughter Ursula, son Anthony, daughter in law, son in law, grandchildren, relatives and friends. May he Rest in Peace.

His Remains will repose at his home from 8 o'clock tomorrow Monday. Requiem Mass in The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Glenfin, on Wednesday at 2.30pm with burial in Kilteevogue Cemetery.

Reposing at Rigney's Funeral Home, Athy, this evening (Saturday) from 8pm with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Sunday evening at 5.30pm to arrive at St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy for 6pm. Requiem Mass on Monday at 2pm with burial afterwards in St. Michael's New Cemetery, Athy.

Reposing at Rigney's Funeral Home, Athy from 7pm on Sunday evening with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday morning at 11.30am to arrive at St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Michael's New Cemetery, Athy.
