The Bundle of Sticks roundabout, between Naas and Newbridge
A planning application for a massive development including a filling station, forecourt shop, dining area, fast food outlet with drive through, coffee shop and 94 parking spaces beside the Bundle of Sticks roundabout is due to be lodged next week.
Aaron MacHale has signaled his intention to lodge the plans for the .78 hectare site at Newhall on the outskirts of Naas.
It's proposed to open the filling station 24 hours a day.
The plans also allow for a proposed right-turn lane on the M7 slip road as well access from the road to the south of the site.
The project, if granted, will see the construction of 10 fuel pumps, car wash/valet facility, electric car charge space and a drive through wait space for mother and child.
The planning notice was published last week and the plans will have to be lodged with Kildare County Council within two weeks of the date it was published.
The nearest filling station to the proposed site is at Toughers, Newhall where similar facilities are on offer.
Junction 14 Mayfield is also further down the M7 and has plans for expansion, while Applegreen is seeking planning for a huge development near the Big Ball roundabout.
