Former Kildare County Board Chairman and present Labour Party TD, Jack Wall is set to become the new chairman of Club Kildare.
The popular south Kildare man is the only one nominated for the position at Thursday AGM which takes place in Keadeen Hotel at 8pm.
Jack Wall was Chairman of the County Board during Mick O’Dwyer’s time and was one of those that helped to form the original Kildare supporters club along with the late Michael Osborne, Sean Conlon, Gus Fitzpatrick, Pat Mangan, June Kelly and Paddy Loughlin.
The present officers, including Pat Mangan, Dermot Reilly and June Kelly had made it know that they would not be letting their names go forward after major disagreements with members of the County Board Executive over the past twelve months or so.
Other nominations are Patsy Power for vice Chairman and Shane Kavanagh as assistant Treasurer.
