regardeD as one of the greatest players ever to don the white of Kildare, Dermot Earley has annnounced that due to continuous injury, he is to call a halt to his glittering inter county career, writes TOMMY CALLAGHAN.
Dermot’s senior county career began back in the first of those famous three Leinster championship games against Meath in 1997 when he came on a substitute, he made an impact that day and has made an enormous impact at all levels of the game ever since.
He is wished the very best and hopefully we have not seen the last of him as he hopes to continue playing with his club, Sarsfields, provided he can overcome his injuries.
Next week we will carry an extensive intervie with Dermot.
