Club Kildare Executive not to seek re-election

Following a meeting of members of the Executive of Club Kildare last night (Monday 20 January), it has been announced that all members of the committee (with the exception of the Co. Treasurer who was not at the meeting) will neither seek or accept nominations for office for the upcoming Club Kildare annual general meeting.

Following a meeting of members of the Executive of Club Kildare last night (Monday 20 January), it has been announced that all members of the committee (with the exception of the Co. Treasurer who was not at the meeting) will neither seek or accept nominations for office for the upcoming Club Kildare annual general meeting.

Relations between members of Club Kildare and the executive of the Co. Board have become ‘strained’ of late and came to a head at the recently convened EGM of Club Kildare when Chairman Pat Mangan and Vice Chairman Dermot Reilly were highly critical of Co. Board Chariman, John McMahon and County Treasurer Martin Whyte.

Mr. Mangan has been Chairman of Club Kildare for some ten years and during that time Club Kildare has raised in the region of E1.5 million.
