Luke Dempsey new Moorefield manager

Luke Dempsey has been appointed the new manager of Moorefield, succeeding Jack Sheedy who stepped down after the Newbridge side lost to Athy in this season’s senior football championship, writes TOMMY CALLAGHAN.

Luke Dempsey has been appointed the new manager of Moorefield, succeeding Jack Sheedy who stepped down after the Newbridge side lost to Athy in this season’s senior football championship, writes TOMMY CALLAGHAN.

Dempsey, a former Kildare player, managed both Carlow and Westmeath at county level and at club level was the boss of Leixlip for a few seasons.

His selectors will be announced later.
