County champions, Athy, booked their place in the MDY Construction SFC semi final following a three point win over Moorefield at St. Conleth’s Park, Newbridge, on Saturday.
Level at half time, Athy, dominated around the middle and although hitting 15 wides still had enough to spare to win on a score line of Athy 0-10 Moorefield 0-7.
Meanwhile St. Kevin’s retained their senior status with a one point win over Round Towers who will now play at intermediate level next season. Final score, St. Kevins 0-10 to 0-9.
Raheens booked their semi final place in the Joe Fox IFC following a one point win, after extra time, against Rathangan. Final score Raheens 1-11 Rathangan 1-10.
In the other IFC replay, Johnstownbridge defeat Casteldermot 2-10 to 1-8.
In the SHC semi final, two late goals saw Confey defeat Naas on a score line of Confey 3-13 to 1-11.
While in the second semi final, county champions Celbridge had to relay on a injury time point to force a replay against Ardclough, on a score line of Celbridge 1-14 each.
