Hurlers name side for Christy Ring opener

Kildare hurling boss, Willie Sunderland, has named his side to take on Derry in the opening round of the Christy Ring Cup, this Saturday in Celtic Park, Derry, writes TOMMY CALLAGHAN.

Kildare hurling boss, Willie Sunderland, has named his side to take on Derry in the opening round of the Christy Ring Cup, this Saturday in Celtic Park, Derry, writes TOMMY CALLAGHAN.

The side shows three changes in personnell from the side that started the Division 2B final against Meath a few weeks ago.

In are Gavin Tynan in midfield; Mark Moloney at no. 11 while Paul Keegan starts at corner forward.

The full line-up is as follows:

Paul Dermody; Paudie Reidy, Fiachra Ó Muineacháin, John Doran; Patrick Curtin, Richie Hoban, Neil Ó Muineacháin; Danny Butler, Gavin Tynan; Coor Kenny, Mark Moloney, Tony Murphy; Paul Keegan, Paul Divilly and Martin Fitzgerald.
