It’s celebration time for the hurlers of Kildare following their brilliant win over Kerry in Croke Park on Saturday to capture the Christy Ring Cup on a final score line of Kildare 4-18 Kerry 2-22.
Rank outsiders, Brian Lawlor’s lads fought tooth and nail throughout and in the end it was the four green flags that made all the difference as the Lilies held out to clinch the title by a two point margin.
Kildare will now take on Westmeath to see who progresses (in 2015) to the Leinster Round Robin or who plys their trade in the Christy Ring next season.
Congrats all round on an historic winl.
