Crunch Christy Ring clash for Lilies

Kildare face a crunch second round Christy Ring game at St. Conlelth’s Park, Newbridge, on Saturday (2.30) when they take on Kerry in a winner takes all clash, following both teams defeats the previous week against Derry and Wicklow respectively, writes TOMMY CALLAGHAN.

Kildare face a crunch second round Christy Ring game at St. Conlelth’s Park, Newbridge, on Saturday (2.30) when they take on Kerry in a winner takes all clash, following both teams defeats the previous week against Derry and Wicklow respectively, writes TOMMY CALLAGHAN.

Kildare have no injury worries ahead of the game, but following a disappointing performance against the Oak Leaf County, manager Willie Sunderland has made a number of switches in the forward division.

In come Thurles Sarsfields star Johnny Enright and Clane stalwart David Harney to replace Gavin Tynan and Gerry Keegan. Mark Moloney moves to midfield with Paul Divilly moving to the 40, with Tony Murphy reverting to the full forward role.
