With Glenn Ryan ruling himself out as a candidate for the Kildare senior football manager’s position, the grapevine has moved into over drive with rumour, gossip and a fair bit of ‘planting’ of names from certain quarters within Kildare.

With Glenn Ryan ruling himself out as a candidate for the Kildare senior football manager’s position, the grapevine has moved into over drive with rumour, gossip and a fair bit of ‘planting’ of names from certain quarters within Kildare.

The latest name to hit the headlines is former Kerry All Ireland winning manager Jack O’Connor who, it is being reported, met with Kildare chairman John McMahon last week.

However, the Leinster Leader has learned that Mr. O’Connor is about to be appointed as manager of Kerry minor county side, possibly as early as this Monday night.

Has another possible smoke screen been blown away?
