Éire Óg Corrachoill come good to defeat Clane in SHC
NAAS was the venue for this SHC (losers group) second round clash on Thursday evening which was a ‘must win’ game for both sides, who each had lost their opening game in this section of the competition.
Clane dominated the early stages, opening up a three point lead but were hauled back by the break which saw the Caragh men leading by a point (0-7 to 0-6) some what flattering it has to be said despite only recording a single point from two penalties.
The winners kept their noses narrowly in front until Declan O’Toole, who had a personal tally of 1-10 on the night, saw his 60m free go all the way to the Clane net to copper fasten the victory.
