THE Central Hearing Committee in Croke Park last night (Wednesday) upheld the decision of the CCCC not to sanction Seanie Johnston’s transfer from Cavan Gaels to St Kevin’s. The player will now take his case to the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA).

Johnston’s transfer was turned down by the CCCC last week as they were not satisfied that the players’ address in Straffan is a permanent one. However, the talented forward, who was in Newbridge to see Kildare beat Derry last Sunday, is adamant that he is living in the Kildare village.

Johnston is expected to lodge a case with the DRA in the next three days.
