Run Kildare open day at Keadeen

Olympian Mark Kenneally will be at the Run Kildare at the open day.
An open day for those interested in taking part in the upcoming Run Kildare full and half marathons and 10k race will take place this Saturday, April 6.

An open day for those interested in taking part in the upcoming Run Kildare full and half marathons and 10k race will take place this Saturday, April 6.

This year’s annual Run Kildare event is scheduled to take part on Sunday, May 12, starting from the Curragh racecourse.

According to the organisers, over 2,000 participants have so far registered to take part.

There will be plenty of fitness and motivation tips available from experts at the open day.

Dr Eddie Murphy, Operation Transformation psychologist (and Leinster Leader columnist) will be there to give participants some motivation and inspiration.

Olympic marathon man, Celbridge’s Mark Kenneally, will also be present as will Hannah Nolan from Fit For Life.

The organisers will also be on hand to answer any questions those who wish to take part may have.

Those who register to take part at the open day will also receive a 10 percent discount on the entry fee for their race.

The information sessions will take place between 12 midday and 4pm.

Lidl has been announced as the title sponsor for this year’s Run Kildare. The supermarket giant has been an associate sponsor for the past few years, and takes over from Woodies as the title sponsor for the 2013 event.
