‘Man creche’ opens at Newbridge’s Whitewater

The new sports lounge or ‘man crèche’ has been described ‘as a haven for sporty spouses to get their fashion fix for the duration of the Euro’s, Olympics and GAA tournaments’. The sporting lounge promises wide TV screens for a birds eye view of all the summer sports on offer with comfy seats where ‘sport will be shown all the time’.

The soccer star then launched the soccer challenge on the mall floor where shoppers were in with a chance to win a €100 voucher and a signed Irish jersey.

Niall Quinn won 92 caps for Ireland, playing in the European Championship in 1988 and in the World Cups of 1990 and 2002. His club career began at Arsenal, led to ManCity and concluded at Sunderland with 475 games played and 141 goals scored.

Meanwhile from July 20 until September 1 the GAA All Stars Competition at Whitewater will be open and all who enter will be in with a chance to win a signed football jersey and tickets to the All Ireland match.
