Claire Noons, who works from Apple Tree studio in the town, is displaying a sculptural installation inspired by the beautiful boglands and countryside of Kildare.

“My current work is concerned with capturing my childhood memories of many summers spent on the bog, cutting, footing, bringing home the turf and the heat, warmth and sense of comfort it still provides the rural community,” she said.

Claire, who is also a musician, is a graduate of the Crawford College of Art in Cork and Waterford IT. The Kildare woman has exhibited throughout Ireland, London, Wales and at the Nagoya University of ARts in Japan. She is also a tutor with the Crafts Council of Ireland and Kildare Arts Service.
