This week I’d like you to meet an adorable and cuddly Husky German Shepherd cross dog. She is eighteen months old and found herself coming into rescue when her owners had to emigrate suddenly. When her owners left she was kindly taken in by a lady who looked after her till we had a free kennel space.
Melissa, as she has been named by our volunteers, has been with us for a few months now and still hasn’t found her forever home. We just can’t understand why.
She is full of fun and is such a happy dog. She loves play time up the fields with her kennel mate Blossom, they would play for hours. Melissa’s favourite toy is a tennis ball which she loves to play fetch with.
Melissa has a lovely thick coat which needs to be brushed daily to keep it in tip top shape. She is great with people and children and adores the company of other dogs. She still needs some work on the lead but she is getting used to it more everyday
The ideal home for Melissa would be a nice family home that are used to having a big dog around. She would need to be very much a part of the family and be able to sleep indoors at night. A family who have plenty of time for walks and playing as Melisa is an active dog.
A home with another dog would also make her a very happy as she will have company when you are not at home. Melissa will reward you with lots of fun memories and sloppy kisses. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, wormed, deflead and microchipped and is ready for her new home.
We hope that one of our lovely readers will open their home and their hearts to this special dog. If you think that is you and you can provide her with all the care and attention she needs then please call us on 045 522929 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also visit the shelter daily from 2pm – 4pm. A home visit will takes place before we place Melissa in her new home.
