To get you in the mood, Ladbrokes have issued some handy etiquette tips for the National “Hunt” Festival:

* Even though you have a better chance of meeting someone special in a bar these days, a drunk date is seen as a turn off by 23% of Ladbrokes Single Survey recipients, so take it handy!

* The biggest turn off for people on a first date finding yourself seated opposite to a “Know it All”. 28% of those surveyed have revealed that this is the reason there would definitely not be a second date.

* If your first date goes well, the best time to wait before contacting your date is 2-3 days according to 63% of those surveyed.

* In a superficial world it’s nice to see that 77% deem “Having a great time” as the most important element of a first date. (Only 23% rate the physical appearance of their date as an important factor)
