Wonderland Production is bringing an exciting new adaptation of Jonathan Swift’s best-loved classic, Gulliver’s Travels to Riverbank.

After Gulliver is shipwrecked, he travels to extraordinary countries and experiences fantastical adventures. Swift’s work is full of sharp wit, comedy and wonderful fantasy, and his storytelling talent ensured his work became a classic of children’s literature.

Song, spectacle, puppetry and masks enable young people to explore these colourful lands, whilst adults can revel in Swift’s stinging comic commentary and epic satire.

An ensemble cast of five will bring this classic to life, playing multiple roles and enlivening their characters with costume, physical theatre, inventive design, live music and puppetry.

They will invite their audience to imagine the giants of Brobdingnag and the tiny Lilliputians, talking horses and scenes of shipwreck. Wonderland’s Gulliver’s Travels is triumph of the theatrical imagination, engaging and inspiring children and adults alike.

The show is adapted and directed by Wonderland’s Artistic Director Alice Coghlan, in association with Mermaid Arts Centre and will play at Riverbank Arts Centre for one night only on Saturday March12, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are E15 for adults, E10 for children and a group ticket for four for E40. It is suitable for all, aged 8 to 800.
