There will be a jam-packed day of activity at Newbridge Rugby Club this Saturday, September 8, with all proceeds going to a local children’s charity.
The day kicks off with a fun-filled open day starting at 2pm, with activities to entertain all ages. All are welcome to come along, including those who aren’t members of the club. Newbridge play Portlaoise at 5.45pm in the Hosie Cup, and the afternoon also features a game between Newbridge Ladies and Gorey at 2pm, U13 demonstration match and Newbridge v Portlaoise Seconds at 4pm.
Later that night, the Rosetown clubhouse will host a ‘Ladies Day’ event starting at 8pm. This includes fabulous goodie bags for the first 100 lovely ladies through the door, a fantastic raffle, and spot prizes including a E600 Lancome hamper sponsored by Bergin’s Pharmacy and a collection of jewellery sponsored by Newbridge Silverware.
Tickets for Ladies Day are €10 and are available to purchases from Linda Spollen on (087) 2720399 or Bryan Kennedy on (087) 2533720 and will also be available during the open day and on the night.
The event is in aid of The Make Believers, a charity based at Portlaoise Hospital that helps children who are coping with terminal and long-term illness, disability, social disadvantage and emotional trauma.
