Leixlip musical inspired by Madness

Leixlip Musical and Variety Group is staging the musical “Our House”, which is based on the music of Madness and contains all their hits including “Baggy Trousers”, “Driving in my Car” and “It must be love” and many more.

The show runs from 11-14 April and will be directed by Karl Harpur. The choreographer for the production will be Claire Tighe who be putting the cast through their paces. The musical director is Peter Beckett. “Our House” was first staged at the Cambridge Theatre in the West End in 2002 and is based on a book by Tim Firth.It is the story of teenager, Joe Casey, who breaks into a building site to impress his girlfriend, Sarah, on their first date, and ends up in jail. The Casey party will be played by Ian Tighe and Karla Moloney is playing Sarah.Other parts are: Joe’s Dad – John Sweeney, Kath Casey – Jenny McCabe, Lewis – Ross Murray,Emmo – Brian Philips, Billie – Lynn Brennan, Angie – Ella Fitzpatrick, Reecey – Michael Kiersey, Callum – Brian Tighe, Mr. Pressman – Niall Dempsey, Julie in Reception – Jennifer Tighe, Heather – Orla Maher, Ray, Elvis, Dog – Dave Miller, female chemist, clown, clerk, Mrs. Pressman – Avril Doyle,Teacher, Prosecutor, Chemist, policeman – Peter Flynn. The car salesman will be played by Dave Curtin.
