The Kildare Rose 2014 Gala Selection night takes place at the Osprey Hotel, Naas, on Saturday evening, April 5.
The girl selected as the 2014 Kildare Rose will go on to represent the county in the regional finals in Portlaoise on the June Bank Holiday weekend.

I’m 23 and live at home in Newbridge. I work full time in Ted Baker in the Kildare Village outlet. I’ve recently started a make-up artistry course with the IBHT. This is something I’ve always wanted to do and I love it. Competing in the Kildare Rose is a whole new experience for me. It’s something I would never have thought that I could or would do, but I have to say it’s been a great experience and I’m delighted I was given the push to do it!

I’m 20 years old and live in Suncroft. I recently graduated from UCD with a B.A degree in Music and English and intend to continue my studies and pursue my ambitions of becoming a secondary school music teacher. I have been trained to sing classically from the age of 14 and have completed all my grade exams. I am currently undergoing vocal training in the Royal Irish Academy of Music. My other great passion is horses, a hobby that I have loved since I was five years old. I am 18 years old and live in Kill village. I’m very honoured to be a contestant in the Rose of Kildare this year. I attend IT Carlow College and I am in my first year of studying to become a Human Resources Manager.
I’m very passionate about music and love going to concerts. I am a very outgoing person and love going out with friends and meeting new people. After I graduate from college I hope to travel the world as I have always wanted to go to Australia and San Francisco to visit my family, and experience new things.

I’m currently on placement in the Defence Forces Physical Education Centre. I hope to study Physiotherapy when I finish my degree and would love to work with a sports team. I recently qualified as a beauty therapist, and I am currently working as a sales assistant in Centra in Naas. Recently I have been researching charity work abroad and also hope to do this as it is something I have always wanted to do. I’m twenty years old and I live in Rathangan. I am a huge Kildare football fan and I play Gaelic football with Rathangan ladies. I’m 20 years old. I was born in Co Clare but moved to Kildare town in 2007, where both my father and grandfather are from. I studied aviation at DIT, Bolton Street before opting for a traineeship at Shannon Aerospace as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
