Family of missing teen thank community for search help
Cormac Clare's family have paid tribute to those who have joined the search for him.
The father of missing Kilteel youth Cormac Clare has thanked all who are helping to locate him.
A massive search operation has been underway in the days following the disappearance of the Naas CBS student from his home.
Eighteen year old Cormac has not been seen since about 2am on Monday morning last (October 22).
Speaking to the Leinster Leader on behalf of the family Seamus said: “My wife Lorraine and I been overwhelmed by the spirit of the community as well the work of more experienced personnel like the Gardai, Civil Defence and Mountain Rescue people.”
He said that the disappearance of Cormac, the second born of three boys in the family, was totally out of character for him and there is no apparent reason for him to leave without making contact.
“Very many people have made great sacrifices to help in the search and over the past few days the weather has been very inclement but that has not deterred them.”
Mr. Clare went on to appeal for anybody who may know anything or even think they know something to come forward.
“We have no idea why he left. We just want him back and there will be no repercussions in any way for anybody who can help us. Any bit of information could help to lead the search in a new direction.”
