Rehab looking for Ladies

Rehab are looking for ladies to raise funds by way of sponsorship for the charity by taking part in the forthcoming Women’s Mini Marathon in Dublin.

Alzheimer’s Society

A total of €430 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Society with the recently held Tea Day in Elegant Lady Beauty Saloon, Edenderry. Thanks to everyone who supported on the day.

Whist Drive in full swing

A Whist Drive takes place at the Church Walk, Edenderry every Monday night at 8.30pm. The winners last week were Jackie Corcoran, Annie Murphy, Georgina Foley, Tom & Peg Higgins, Martin Daly, Tom Fitzsimons, Erin Kenny and Mary O’Regan.

Melbourne Rose coming to Edenderry

Claire Lynch, who is a contestant for Melbourne in this year’s Rose of Tralee will be flying in to Dublin Airport this Wednesday.

She is currently employed as an Occupational Therapist in the Australian City.

Claire’s mother Bernie nee McLoughlin is from Edenderry and currently living in County Louth.

Twenty-five year old Claire will be competing against seven other International Rose’s on Friday night next in Portlaoise where she is hoping to be selected to go forward to the Rose Of Tralee in Kerry where she will represent Melbourne.

Many people form Edenderry will be travelling to Portlaoise in the hope that Claire will be chosen on the night and that she will get a chance of competing for the Annual Rose of Tralee Title.

Padre Pio Pilgrimage to Italy

The Annual St. Padre Pio Pilgrimage to Italy takes place this year from Friday, 20th – Friday, 27th July. The all-in cost is €859 per person sharing.

The Edenderry Branch of “Cumann na BhFiann” have meetings at St. Mary’s Girls Primary School on Tuesdays from 4.30pm – 6pm. The Youth Club is run entirely through the Irish language and caters for children from 4th Class up to 1st Year at Second Level School. Offaly Local Development are offering Progression Supports in Edenderry. This support programme is free and is offered locally and designed to suit the individual.

The Programmes are ‘One2One’ and ‘The Way Forward’.

The One2One is a free support and mentoring meeting to explore your options and The Way Forward is for two mornings per week for 7 weeks Training and Information Programme.

This course offers certified I.T. Training on all the up-to-date schemes and supports that are now available.
