The new committee of the Kill ICA is as follows: Margaret O’Connor President; Ann Fleming Vice President; Zena Walshe Secretary; Marie Gavin Asst Secretary; Ellen Brett Treasurer; Josephine Bourke Asst Treasurer, and Terry Healy Public Relations Officer (PRO).
The ICA will meet on the third Monday of the month in the fabulous new St. Brigid’s National School Kill. Next meeting is on Monday, June 18, at 8 pm.
Besides the usual fun the Kill ICA engage in, they have also arranged some very topical and interesting talks over the next while, including on safety in the home, gardening and chiropody. The ICA will also arrange trips to the theatre, to shows, weekends away and day trips.
All are welcome to join and are assured of a Cead Mile Failte from the committee and existing members. Remember if you are not there you will have certainly missed a good night.
The monthly meeting of Kill Tidy Towns will take place on Tuesday June 5 at 8.30pm in the Parish Meeting Room.

The Employ Service is supporting people with a disability to secure and maintain employment. Employability Service Job Coach will be available for meetings in the Obair Office, behind the Maxol Garage, Kilcullen Road on Friday mornings from 10am to 1pm.

We pray for Stuart Moran, Celbridge whose funeral mass took place in St Anne’s Church Ardclough on Wednesday. May he rest in peace.
In the Kill GAA Lotto draw on May 22, the numbers drawn were 3, 14, 18 and 20. There was no jackpot winner and only one lucky winner of the E200 prize so congratulations to L O’Neill c/o P Reid. Next week’s jackpot is E9,300.
The intermediate hurlers played two games last week. The lads were defeated by Moorefield by 2-15 to 2-13. The lads also drew with Naas on a score line of 2-07 to 1-10, the goals coming from Sam Temple and Nathan Fitzharris. This game was nip and tuck throughout and a late Naas goal snatched a draw for the home side. On a night when the performance of the team was excellent, Niall Fleming, Sam Temple and Ian Doyle where to the fore.
A weakened Division 1 U12 football team came up short away to Naas last Saturday. Solid performances from Eoin Murphy, Ryan Lam, Evan Fogerty and the outstanding goal keeping of Gavin Walsh means there are many bright points for this emerging squad.
The younger group of U12’s had a superb win away to Kilcock. This team displayed maturity beyond their years with fine performances throughout the field. Jamie Gaire, Harry Kirwin, Eoghan Armstrong & Criag Bates were outstanding on the night. Special words of thanks to Ciaran and PJ for the great work with this talented group.
The U14 League got underway last Sunday and with a fine home win against Suncroft, the team were well beaten away to a very solid Allenwood team the following Wednesday. Some good performances on both occasions from Matthew O’Loughlin, Glenn McEvoy, Sean Carter, Liam O’Leary and Cillian Armstrong leave the squad looking forward to the upcoming games.
The Irish Wheelchair Association extend a big thank you to all those who contributed to their collection on the weekend of May 19 and 20.
The amount raised was E498.40.
Kill History Group
The final meeting of Kill History Group before the summer break is on Monday June 25 when the title of the talk will be “Are you mad also?”
when Ciaran Mc Cabe will detail the events surrounding the murder of RIC Sergeant Michael Rogan and his family in Ballinadrumna near Enfield 1882. Both meetings take place in the Parish Meeting Room at 8.30pm.
