Caragh GAA news
Caragh GFC Under 7 Blitz: On Saturday May 12th Caragh hosted an U7 football blitz which was kindly sponsored by Asian Express, Prosperous.
Luckily the weather was kind to us and we played three games with the opposition being Balyna, Raheens and St.Edwards.
The blitz marked first time appearances in the maroon & white for Fionnán Manders, Jamie Hand and Oisin Bagnall.
All the Caragh team can be happy with their contribution to three fine team performances and they well deserved the refreshments served after the game.
The organisers would like to thank the sponsors Asian Express, all the children, parents and volunteers who contributed in any way to the running of this event.
The Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp in Caragh GFC, Prosperous runs from Tuesday 6th August to Friday 10th August. This is the week after the bank holiday and so is a 4 day camp.
The Cúl Camp provides boys and girls, between the ages of 6 and 13, with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games.
Prices: €50 first child (Note Cúl Camp website says €55 but price should be €50 for a 4 day camp - there will be a €5 refund on the day for those booked online) €45 2nd child, €40 3rd and 4th child.
Each child receives a Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp Kit and Kit Bag. Parents are encouraged to book online because a further €5 discount token from promotional packs of Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies can only be claimed online.

The Intermediate team succumbed to defeat to Caragh on Saturday evening week in Naas in round 1 of the championship and dropped 2 league points also.
Leading 5-3 at half time and by 9 to 1-5 midway through the 2nd half we were unable to finish the job, ending 2-7 to 0-11. Alan Igoe, Alan Campbell and Cathal Carr fought bravely but it was one of those days. Our U-7’s put Caragh to the sword earlier in the week but it was scant consolation!
If you have been out of work through illness, injury or disability and you are looking to get back to work, we may be able to help you.
An employability job coach will be available to meet you in the obair office behind the Maxol garage on the Kilcullen road, Naas on Friday mornings between 10.00 and 13.00.
