Mary Corscadden, Courtown Road wish to thank most sincerely all who came and supported her tea and coffee day in aid of Alzheimer’s fund raising day. A total of €605 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

Radio mass

RTE Radio broadcast mass from Newtown on Sunday June 10 and needless to say all those involved did the village proud.

Midlands Support Group

The Midlands Support Group for family and friends affected by suicide is a new confidential support group, established in conjunction with HOPE(D). The group welcomes people from all areas in Kildare. They meet the first Wednesday of each month at the Aras Building (beside

Fas) Main Street, Newbridge at 8pm. The group aims to connect with people where members can share experiences, advice or just listen providing sympathetic understanding towards one another. People who have lost a loved one to suicide and would like to connect with others who have gone through the same experience are most welcome to come along. Be vigilant

Due to a spate of house burglaries in Kilcock area recently people are asked to be vigilant of anything suspicious in and around their area. Also keep a look out for and check on the elderly and anyone living on the own. Anything or any one acting suspiciously in your area and report it to the Gardai. Kilcock Garda Station. Phone 6292380.
