The Monasterevin CYMS Trustees wish to state that it is their intention to re-open the CYMS Hall for the non profit making educational,social and recreational use of the Monasterevin Community as soon as possible.The trustee are: Donal Fitzpatrick, Jacqueline Kennedy, Sarah O’Neill, TonyCallanan and Matt Lonergan.
Volunteers are wanted for the Moore Abbey-based Muiriosa Foundation is a voluntary, non-statutory health organisation. The HQ of the organisation is based at Moore Abbey, Monasterevin, Co Kildare. The organisation cares for people with intellectual disabilities (some with additional physical disabilities) in five midland counties stretching North in Trim, Co Meath, through Westmeath, Offaly, Kildare and South to Abbeyleix in Co Laois.
Moore Abbey is seeking volunteers aged 18 years and over who would like to commit to either one, two, three (or more) hours, one day a week to the volunteer programme. Existing volunteers, when asked why they volunteer cited that they ‘felt good’ that they were contributing to their local community and were ‘doing something worthwhile’ for people other than their immediate family members.
Experience is not necessary. A warm, friendly outgoing personality is all we ask.

The Carmelite Lourdes Pilgrimage will take place from September 27 to 3 October next. A savings club will be in operation after 10am and 12 midday mass very Sunday for people who want to pay off the cost. Fare and full board is E699.
This year Ballykelly GFC will hold a two day Easter camp for underage players. The camp will run the 11th and 12th of April and will be fully supervised by adults for each age group.
The camp will run from 10am to 2pm each day and with money being tight at the moment for a lot of families at the moment the underage committee in the club have decided that the cost will be €10 per child in total for the two days.
For families that will have more than one child a...ttending the cost will be €15 for two or €20 for three children from the same family. The camp will be strictly limited to current school going children and we’ll have all the contact details for the camp organiser in the coming days so keep an eye out on both our facebook page and also our club website www.ballykellygfc.ie
Underage training returns to the club every Friday from 6-7pm. We’ve began the process of enroling all our underage players and we will continue with this enrolment in the main hall in Ballykelly from 6-pm while training is going on. Remember if you feel you have some spare time on your hands and feel you could contribute to the club in some way we’re always looking for volunteers in the club.
