Another light goes out

The take over of Snells Bookmakers means there is another vacant premises on the Main Street of Rathangan. This type of retail closure is common to every town and village in the country and it is past time the Co Councils realised that by their actions, in allowing huge out of town shopping centres, they have decimated the traditional shopping areas and drastically reduce rates charged, before every town and village becomes a ghost town.

Cooleghegan Cemetery

Cooleghegan Cemetery Mass takes place on tomorrow night Wednesday June 27 at 8pm.
