EJ wins by one chip at Poker
The Caragh GAA Poker Classic which took place on Good Friday night was a great success. We had almost 60 players to start and that figure was whittled down to a final table of 8 players.
All 8 finalists got a share of the prize money. EJ Moran scooped the top prize of €600, edging out Damien Cassidy by a single chip. Damien received €250 for 2nd place with young Martin Lally claiming 3rd prize.
A big thank you to everyone involved, especially chief organisers Damien Og Cassidy and Dessie Boland. Many thanks also to the local ladies who provided the delicious food.
Some people were so busily engaged dishing out buy-ins during the interval that they missed out on the apple tarts which disappeared in the blink of an eye!
