Sympathy is extended to the family of Emer Mallon (nee) Browne who died recently. She is mourned by her husband Hugh, children, mother, brothers, mother-in-law, father-in-law, extended family and friends. Burial was in St.Joseph’s cemetery.

Condolence also to the family of Trevor Cassidy. Rye Bridge and Maynooth. His funeral took place in Maynooth, with burial in Laraghbryan cemetery.

Condolence also to Breda Kiely on the death of her brother-in-law Jim Keegan, husband of her sister Maura in Florida (U.S.A.). Interment will take place at a later date in Allen cemetery.

Also on the death of her cousin Lily (Ennis) Gorman Newbridge. Burial in St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge.

Big thank you

Mary Corscadden, Courtown Road wishes to thank most sincerely all who came and supported her tea and coffee day in aid of Alzheimer’s fund raising day. A total of €605 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

Radio mass

RTE Radio will broadcast mass from Newtown on Sunday, June 10. The mass is scheduled for 10am. All are welcome to attend. All who are involved in the mass are invited to the church for the rehearsal on Saturday, June 9 at 10am.

Be vigilant

Due to a spate of house burglaries in Kilcock area recently people are asked to be vigilant of anything suspicious in and around their area. Also keep a look out for and check on the elderly and anyone living on their own. If you see anything out of the ordinary, or anyone acting suspiciously in your area, report it to the Gardai.
