Sallins GAA Lotto results for Tuesday June 5. Draw was held in The Mill and the Jackpot was €2800. The numbers drawn were 13, 25 and 29. There was no winner. The €40 winners drawn on the night were: Patrick Herbert, Alannah Rawlings, Karen Heffernan, Rocha C/O Bridgewater Inn and Jim Moore. Our next draw will be on Monday 11th June 2012 in The Railway Inn and the Jackpot is €2,950.
Club Kildare Golf Classic

Railway Inn Golf Society

Sallins Tidy Towns continue to do great work throughout the year and have the village in top condition for the judging this Summer. Unfortunately some of their good work was undone recently when a number of newly planted trees were removed from near the substation and the Clane end of the village. If anyone has any information relating to this please contact a member of the local committee or Naas Garda station.
Works are nearly completed at Sallins railway station to install the new disability access bridge which have been going on since last winter. However the shelters were removed during the works and it is not clear what form of new shelters will be provided. James Lawless, spokesperson for NASRUG has raised the issue with Irish Rail and asked them to ensure that adequate shelter facilities are restored once the works are completed.
The Sallins Community Games Athletics evening took place last Monday, June 4. The committee would like to thank all who helped and competed in the events. Medals were awarded on the evening for all community games events this year including art. If your child was due a medal which has not been collected please contact email@example.com.
The underage soccer club in Sallins is running an academy for all local youngsters wishing to get involved in soccer. The academy seeks to introduce kids between five and nine years of age to soccer in a fun environment – all children born from 2003 onwards are welcome.
The academy will run every Saturday in June at 10am and there is no cost involved.
