Result: Girls U14 football league: Na Fianna 2-9 Clane 1-7. The Minor girls play Kilcock in the Shield Final on Sat 31st March in Carbury at 1pm. Girls U14 training on Tues and Thurs at 6.30pm in Allenwood. New players welcome. Senior Training Monday and Friday at 7.00pm in Ballyteague. New players always welcome. Any girl who would like to play football with any of the above teams, please come along to a training session and meet the trainers, new members are always welcome. Milltown GAA Karaoke Night

Karaoke Night: The players have decided to hold a Karaoke/X-Factor fundraiser for the players’ training fund on Sat 28 April in the Milltown Inn. Rumour has it that four of the veteran players will be attempting a YMCA-style version of “The Full Monty”. Lads, you know who you are! Naturally, demand for tickets has shot up because of these rumours so contact any player ASAP to reserve your tickets. (€5). Football: The first team continued their league campaign last Saturday at home to Castledermot. See sports pages for report. The next League game is at home to Ellistown this Saturday at 3pm. Best of luck to the lads. The Junior team commenced their League last Monday night at home to Nurney. Best of luck to newly appointed joint managers Ber Dunne and Glen Gorey. Congratulations: Well done to two of our stars of the future for reaching the final 60 of the Kildare u14 Development Panel. James Byrne and Brandon Heavey are now in contention to make the final development squad. Well done lads-we are all proud of you. Allenwood GFC

Football: Allenwood played their first league game on Saturday March 24th.Allenwood 1-06 Athy 2-13. Best for Allenwood were David Hughes, Ciaran Moore, Ernie Price and Tom Byrne. The Senior B team are due to start their league campaign Monday April 2nd with a home game taking on Athgarvan. The Championship draw has taken place with Allenwood due to take on Maynooth. Scor: Well done to the Senior Scor Question Time Team on reaching the Leinster final sadly we came away this year empty handed but we look forward to next year. Underage: Allenwood U8s played a home game on Saturday March 24th against Clane. For Family and Friends Affected by Suicide

Midlands Support Group - For Family and Friends Affected by Suicide. Our confidential support group, recently established in conjunction with HOPE(D) welcomes people from all areas in Kildare. We meet the first Wednesday of each month at the Aras Building (beside Fas) Main Street, Newbridge at 8pm. Our aim is to connect with people where members can share experiences, advice or just listen providing sympathetic understanding towards one another. For people who have lost a loved one to suicide and would like to connect with others who have gone through the same experience please feel free to come along. FitKids Easter Camps 2012

FitKids Easter Camps will be held in Naas and Newbridge over the Easter holidays; Naas GAA club Monday 2nd April to Friday 6th April from 9.30am to 1.30pm, and Newbridge Scoil Mhuire Jnr Tuesday 10th to Friday 13th from 9.30 to 2.30pm. Cost €70 family discounts are also available. Children from 4 to 12 welcome. Children are split into age specific groups but all children will be placed in groups with their siblings and/or friends. Gymnastics and tumbling skills; obstacle courses; Multi-sports - basketball, soccer, tag rugby, uni-hoc and mini tennis; Fun games - parachute games, dodge ball, active running games; Arts and Crafts activities.
