Kilcock parade draws crowds
The 2012 St Patrick’s Day Parade in Kilcock was a big colourful success.
The parade attracted hundreds of cheering onlookers, it was led by the 65th Reserve Infantry Battalion followed a by St. Patrick.
A Leprechaun and Minnie Mouse much to the delight of all the little ones. Music was supplied by St. Mary’s brass and reed band and St. Laurence O’Pipe band.
All played a lively selection of music. There was a great number of floats from all sections of the Community.
The Duck race in the Harbour provided great excitement for all.
Victor’s Dung
This award winning comedy is being staged in Kilcock GAA complex on Friday 30th at 8.30p.m. This extremely funny comedy is set in a farmyard it is the tale of Victor Maguire, a vulgar un-pc Cavan farmer who gets a surprise one Friday morning. Musical Tots
Music,Song and Dance for tots in the Wellness Centre ( beside the canal) on Monday Mornings at 9.45am. Contact Karen on 087-6417981. Fee €5 per child with reduction for siblings.
Glor na Gael
The Glor na nGael committee extend thanks to all who supported their church gate collection recently a total of €574 was raised. This will help fund Gaeltach Scholarships.
Head Shave
Dorothy’s Hair and Beauty Salon is celebrating 18 years of business in Kilcock and to mark the occasion Dorothy had having all her hair shaved off on Saturday 31th March to raise funds for St. Brigids Hospice and the Meningitis Trust.
