Test your mettle
A Duathlon and Forest Run series will take place in the picturesque setting of Donadea Forest over three dates during the summer, June 9, July 7 and August 19.
This event is one of the best Duathlon routes that Ireland has to offer, starting with a 5.2km forest trail run past Donadea Forest castle and lake, then out onto quiet country roads for a 20km cycle continuous route lap, very flat and fast.
The Forest Run can be seen as three separate events for those of you who need motivating and excitement during the summer months. You can start with 5km in June, 8km in July and then see if you can complete the 10km in August. Duathlon Prices: Enter 1 Race: €25, 2 Races: €45, 3 Races: €60. Forest Run Prices: 1 Race: €20, 2 Races: €35, 3 Races: €50. All events are chip timed.
Online entries received one week prior to event receive a free t-shirt. The event organisers will also make a donation to the Scouts for marshalling the event. For more information, and booking, see: www.clickevents.ie

Congratulations to the Senior Footballers who beat Round Towers in the 1st Rd of the MDY Senior Football Championship. The win means they are now a step closer to the quarter-finals of the championship. Underage football and hurling training has now resumed.
The Tiny Tots football is on Saturday mornings in the Scoil Mhuire Community School Hall at 10.30am with the rest of the smaller underage football groups are up in the Boys School on Friday nights at 6.45pm. The underage hurlers are up in the club at the usual time on Wednesday nights. A huge congratulations must be extended to the boys school and their teachers as they completed a clean sweep of county titles over the last week. The lads won the U.10 div1, U13 A and B titles. This is a massive achievement and it has not been done by any school in a long time.
